Notice to our loyal Cansec customers

To our loyal Cansec customers,

As the impact of COVID-19 is felt across the world, we are reviewing all our operations with the objective of protecting our employees, clients and the general public with which we interact. We want to assure you that we continue to be committed to serving you with smooth and uninterrupted delivery of products and services.

Where required, we have implemented measures to mitigate risks to our staff, clients and the public and to maintain supply of this critical technology to our network of dealers and distributors.

Among other measures, we have:

  1. Implemented work-from-home options for all roles where this is feasible.
  2. Reviewed all sanitation activities for our office and reinforced relevant procedures.
  3. Eliminated access of the general public to our headquarter.

All the measures we are undertaking are based on information we have reviewed from World Health Organization (WHO) and Canadian public health authorities at the municipal, provincial and federal levels. We continue to monitor guidance from these sources to adjust as the situation evolves.

With this in mind, we are seeing a surge of requests as businesses are seeking to bolster the security of both their physical assets and infrastructure. With the unprecedented increase in layoffs, tens of thousands of keys, fobs, and cards are likely unaccounted for. Businesses are reminded that these credentials should be deactivated as soon as possible as the risk of unauthorized access remains a real threat.

Unfortunately, it may be necessary to implement additional security measures to deal with the unrest and turmoil which the COVID-19 pandemic has caused. Cansec wishes to support all of you in addressing any resulting sudden demands. To that end, we are working on a program to provide a price break on select Cansec manufactured products. Details of this program will be announced in the near future.

Our manufacturing, assembly, testing, repair and support operations continue without interruption. Core products, such as MAP1 and other controllers, are manufactured locally using components for which we have reliable supply chains. In addition to these core products, we sell peripheral products which are manufactured by others, such as readers and credentials. These can be sourced from numerous channels and we are doing our best to make sure that these items can still be reliably sourced by us and will still be available.

Our goal is to fulfill all orders as expeditiously as possible. We will continue to closely monitor our supply chain, make adjustments as necessary, and will advise you of any disruptions that may affect your requests.

The safety and security of our employees, clients and the general public are of paramount importance and will not be compromised under any circumstances. Further, you have my personal guarantee that we will take whatever actions are required to support our customers through these times.

And most importantly, we all need to find ways to help each other. We must never lose sight of this no matter how difficult times become.Fred Blog

Yours truly,

Fred Dawber - President
