Cansec Systems Names Marc Courville, EAO, Vice President of Sales
 Mississauga Ontario – Cansec Systems Ltd. a proud Canadian manufacturer of reliable access control products 1987, is pleased to announce that Marc Courville has been named Vice President of Sales. In this role, Marc’s will responsibilities will include all sales and marketing activities for domestic and international markets.
According to Fred Dawber President, Cansec Systems, "As we approach our 25th anniversary, this new role will enhance our ability for the next 25 years to grow our sales and effectively communicate our vision of the next generation of Cansec solutions to our customers and the marketplace. His expertise in the industry and extensive understanding of our products will allow him to have an immediate impact on the growth and profitability of the company."
Marc Courville holds a range of University, Collegiate and Professional degrees and certifications in the fields of Technology. He comes to this position with over 21 years of experience in the fields of Technological Development, Application and Education; twelve of those years in International Security and National Aviation Security.

Cansec is pleased to introduce an all-new feature-filled 32-bit H1000 access control panel. The new H1000 controller replaces the CP-40 controller and brings with it many benefits and improvements. The new controller is smaller, more powerful, and easier to install and service. The H1000 controller can be installed as an add-on to or a direct replacement of an existing CP-40 panel. We have also designed the H1000 controller with an expansion bus which allows many more features to be added to the H1000 in the future.

Air-485™ makes expensive cable pulling a thing of the past by allowing you to establish wireless RS-485 communication links where pulling communication cable is cost prohibitive. Setup couldn't be easier using simple dip-switch settings and without any tedious configuration software to learn. There's no need to get the IT department involved since Air-485™ runs independent of a wired or wireless LAN.

The SmartLock UltraLite Plus is Single!
Trimmed down to the simple essentials, Cansec's popular entry-level software has a sleek new image. Refined and repositioned as a single- door, stand-alone system, SmartLock® UltraLite Plus is ideal for budget-conscious customers who need top-of-the-line security on a small scale.
Extremely simple and cost effective, this single door controller supports up to 2,000 users and maintains an audit of the latest 1,000 transactions. All programming is done at the PC using software which is simple, intuitive and supports up to 255 UltraLite™ controllers. User data is loaded into a portable storage device which is transported to the controller and plugged in. Data is automatically copied from the portable storage device to the controller’s memory. Stored Audit Data is retrieved from the controller using the same device.
As a stand-alone system, UltraLite Plus needs no permanent connection between controller and computer. All programming can be conveniently done on a PC. Data from the computer is stored on a portable iButton® keyfob and then transferred to the UltraLite controller using the programming kit. The innovative stand-alone programming kit consists of an iButton programming key, programming wand and USB adaptor. Similarly, the transaction history file can be retrieved from the controller for display, printing, and archiving on the PC.

Surf's Up!
Cansec is happy to announce the release of the newest addition to the SmartLock family: the hotly anticipated SmartLock Surf.
SmartLock Surf is Cansec's first browser-enabled software, and it's got a lot to offer! Surf supports 4,800 users and up to 30 doors. Surf also supports 10 concurrent connections, so up to 10 users can connect and manage the access control system at the same time. SmartLock Surf can be accessed from any computer on an office network, or for added convenience, from a remote laptop or home computer. All that is needed to get you started is a server PC running the Surf software and an internet connection!
Surf is a great option for new SmartLock installations, giving users more control over, and access to, their systems. It's also the perfect upgrade option for existing Pro and MSM systems - Surf works with the same controllers, so NO messy hardware changes or rewiring necessary!
